Russian President Vladimir Putin understands very well the situation in the Middle East, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi told TASS in an exclusive interview following his visit to Moscow.
"I consider that President Putin understands very well the situation in the Middle East," the Egyptian leader said. "He is well aware of dangers in this region and in particular, the danger of terrorism that threatens the entire region and may have negative consequences for the whole world."
The Egyptian president said the major issues on the agenda of the Russian-Egyptian relations are economic cooperation and joint fight against terrorism. "The map of terrorism and extremism is spreading," he said.
"A common global strategy is needed and all the countries should fight against this evil," the leader stressed.
