Qatari Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani stressed on Wednesday that Egypt's strength serves the good of the Arab and Muslim worlds. Sheikh Tamim, during a meeting with visiting Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Qandil, said Qatar has been supporting the Egyptian people from the start of the revolution, the Qatari news agency repored. The meeting tackled boosting bilateral relations in the economic and investment domains as well as developments in the Arab and international arenas. Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr al-Thani, who attended the meeting, said the decision to buy three-billion-dollar bonds in Egypt was taken upon the directives of the Qatari emir. The additional bonds bring to seven billion dollars the amount of Qatari assistance to Egypt since the start of the revolution.
