Qatar, Italy enjoy deep-rooted relations

Qatar and Italy have affirmed the depth of their relations in various areas, expressing their aspirations to further cooperate to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.This came in a joint press conference held here on Monday by Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta and HE Minister of Energy & Industry Dr Mohammed Saleh Al-Sada.The two sides agreed that Letta’s visit to Doha was successful and achieved its desired objectives, particularly in term of the economic and investment relations between the two countries, adding that the visit was considered a strong add to the process of long and deep-rooted cooperation between the two governments in various fields.Letta, who described his visit to Doha as successful, said he held important talks with HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, saying: “My visit will undoubtedly enhance our joint cooperation, particularly in the economic, industrial and cultural sectors”.He reiterated Qatar and Italy have good and strong relations and the two countries have the will to further boost such ties into wider horizons, stressing his country’s keenness and desire to contribute to the establishment of various projects in Qatar. He hoped that his country be a bridge to cross more European investments to Qatar so as to help in attaining the vision of the Qatari leadership in the economic development.The Italian Prime Minister said that his talks dealt with the most important issues at regional and international levels, specifically the situation in Syria, the Geneva II Conference and the situation in Egypt and Libya.
