Qatari advisory council’s speaker heads to Tehran

Advisory Council Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Kholaifi and his accompanying delegation headed on Monday to Tehran to participate in the 9th session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) which will kick off there tomorrow, Tuesday.During the two-day conference , the participants will discuss a number of topics including the election of the Vice-President from African and Arab Groups , the report of the OIC Secretary-General and the adoption of the report of the committee of experts to examine declaration on parliamentary document. The conferees will also tackle adoption of the draft amendment to the regulations of the PUIC in the light of the new statute in addition to examine and adopt reports and draft resolutions submitted by the specialized standing committees .The agenda also includes the study and adoption of reports and draft resolutions submitted by the third conference of Muslim women parliamentarians ,the third meeting of the standing committee on Palestine and the nomination of the executive and general specialized committees members of the Union for the current year. Upon their departure at Doha International Airport the Qatari delegation was seen off by Iran’s Ambassador to Qatar HE Mohamed Jawad and a number of the Advisory Council officials .
