
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Monday ratified the approval of the draft accord on economic , trade and technical cooperation between Qatar and Nepal and which was signed in Doha city on 16/06/2005.HH the Emir also endorsed the approval of an agreement exempting the official biometric passports from entry visa conditions between the Governments of Qatar and Germany and which was signed in the city of Berlin on 16/04/2013.A biometric passport, also known as an e-passport, ePassport or a digital passport, is a combined paper and electronic passport that contains biometric information that can be used to authenticate the identity of travellers. It uses contactless smart card technology, including a microprocessor chip (computer chip) and antenna (for both power to the chip and communication) embedded in the front or back cover, or center page, of the passport.HH the Emir then ratified approval of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in education , higher education and scientific research between the governments of Qatar and Peru and which was signed in the city of Lima on 14/02/2013.HH the Emir ratified as well approval of an air service agreement between the governments of Qatar and Colombia and which was signed in Bogota city on 15/02/2013.HH the Emir then ratified the approval on the economic, trade and technical cooperation agreement between the governments of Qatar and Ecuador and which was signed in the city of Quito on 16/02/2013.HH the Emir finally endorsed the approval of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the ministries of foreign affairs in the State of Qatar and the Republic of Ecuador and which was signed in the city of Quito on 16/02/2013.
