Qatari envoy attends German unity anniversary celebrations

Qatar’s Ambassador to Germany HE Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi has attended celebrations marking the German unity which was held today in the city of Munich, and attended by senior German leaders, led by German President Joachim Zhaox, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, all members of the Government as well as the Parliament Speaker and the President of the Supreme Court of the Constitution and the heads of local governments and a large number of members of the Germany’s parliament (Bundestag) and the parliaments of States were among the 1,500 invited persons. Addressing the event, Dr. Norbert Lammert, President Germany’s parliament (Bundestag) called for further efforts to achieve European integration and said that German reunification was a great incentive to end the division of Europe.
