Qatar's emir oversees signing of agreements with Japan

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe attended Friday the signings of a number of agreements Memoums of Understanding (MoU).
A cooperation agreement between Qatar's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in the field of information technology and communications.
The two countries signed another agreement in in the field of defense between Qatar's Ministry of Defense and and its Japanese counterpart. Qatar's Supreme Council of Health also signed an agreement with Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to benefit from Japan's experience in the medical care and medical insurance field, in addition to benefiting from Japan's experience in the field of developing human resources and medical equipment.
In the field of youth and sports, the Qatari of Ministry of Youth and Sports signed an agreement with Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to encourage the exchange of visits between experts in the field of sports and exchange views on issues related to youth and sports.
HH the Emir and the Prime Minister of Japan also oversaw the signing of a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism between Qatar Tourism Authority and Japan's Tourism Agency. The agreement is regarding cooperation in the field of developing, planning and investment in the tourism field. Additionally, the Two countries' Ministries of Foreign Affairs the agreement was concerned with preventing dual taxation.
Another agreement signed today was an investment deal between Qatar Rail and a coalition of Japanese companies led by Mitsubishi to installation and maintenance of rails and railway systems.
An agreement in the scientific research and technology field has also been signed between the Supreme Education Council and the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The agreement works on encouraging the education system in both countries, in addition to using modern education techniques.
Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir attended the signing ceremony. Members of the Japanese cabinet and a number of ranking officials in the Japanese administration attended the ceremony as well.
