Qobeissi calls for national unity cabinet inclusive of all political currents

Amal Movement MP, Hani Qobeissi, urged on Monday, during a funeral ceremony in south Lebanon, the formation of a national unity Cabinet that includes all political parties and trends in order to fend off the dangers posed by strife.He confirmed in no uncertain terms that Amal Movement and House Speaker Nabih Berri categorically reject sedition in Lebanon."The best way to combat discord is by domestic national unity," he said."We want this Cabinet to be all embracing and protective of the State on the one hand and the Army on the other, and to provide political cover to this army and reinforce its role and authority."
