The Reform and Development Party (RDP) leader Anwar Esmat el-Sadat urged President Mohamed Morsi to speed the formation of a national unity government. El-Sadat backed the idea of Prime Minister Hisham Qandil to form a committee to amend some articles of the constitution, saying it confirms the existence of good intentions and serious endeavors to achieve a kind of consensus. In another context, El-Sadat asked the government chaired by PM Qandil to be frank with people regarding with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) negotiations, especially with the increase in the funding gap to $20 billion, and after Qatar agreed to buy government bonds, worth three billion dollars.
