Hezbollah went on high alert and declared a general mobilization, instructing its combat and missile units to prepare, the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyassah said. The Kuwaiti daily quoted intelligence sources as saying Hezbollah had mobilized all units, canceled leave and ordered senior officials to hide, the Lebanese Yalibnan.com Web site said Tuesday. Members of its combat and missile units were instructed to prepare to fire missiles within 12 hours after the order is given, the Web site said. Sources told the Kuwaiti daily Hezbollah has been preparing for war for several weeks and said Israel has recently increased its reconnaissance flights over Lebanon. The Lebanese Web site noted in a televised speech Friday, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah ruled out the possibility of engaging in a war with Israel unless a regional war breaks out. "We still rule out an enemy assault on Lebanon regardless of the regional situation and developments. Unless there is a plan for war on the whole region, we just do not think that Israel is able to do it," al-Manar satellite television quoted Nasrallah as saying.
