
Governor of the southern province of Hatay, Mehmet Celalettin Lekesiz has stated after intense efforts of security and intelligence services, they arrested N.E. who is assessed to be the principal actor of twin bombings which were staged in Reyhanli town of Hatay. Lekesiz told Anadolu Agency that late on Monday night, around 23:00 Turkish local time, N.E. was arrested while trying to cross the border near Guvecci village of Yayladagi town of Turkey's southern border province Hatay. Governor Lekesiz added, N.E. was arrested after the intense and precise efforts of Turkish security and intelligence services and the suspect's inquiry as well as the investigation continue. In regards to the topic, the statement placed on the website of the governorship says, "N.E. who is registered with the population records of the province was assessed to be the principal actor of the twin bombings which were staged in Reyhanli town of Hatay on May 11. Person named N.E. was arrested after the precise and intense working efforts of our security units on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 23:00 Turkish local time while trying to cross the border from Yayladagi town." Four people were detained for aiding Reyhanli blasts perpetrator N.E.. The four suspects were caught in light of N.E.'s statements who was arrested late on Monday night, around 23:00 Turkish local time. The interrogation of those four detainees continues. At least 51 people were killed during the twin attacks in Reyhanli. The blasts in Reyhanli town just across Syria's Idlib province have been the deadliest cross-border attack since the onset of the Syrian incidents in March, 2011.
