Minister of Awkaf and religious affairs in Gaza Ismail Ridwan denounced Angolan Culture Minister Rosa da Silva for her decision to raze Muslims’ mosques in her country. Ridwan said in a statement on Monday that the decision to close down mosques and prevent Muslims from offering their rituals was a "serious precedence in the war on religions", PIC reported. "We are very much concerned with this criminal incident and call on Angola to immediately reverse this unethical and irreligious decision that ran contrary to morals, values, and the international humanitarian law." The minister asked the Arab countries to expel the Angolan ambassadors if Luanda did not backtrack on its decision, and urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Muslim scholars worldwide to defend rights of Muslim in Angola to offer their rituals.
