At least seven people were killed and 17 others wounded as a passenger bus hits a roadside bomb in southern Afghani province on Tuesday. According to district Chief, a bus was traveling in the Larmi village of Maqur district of southern Ghazni province as it hits the landmine. He further told that children and women were among those killed and wounded, who were taken to a Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT)s health facility in the area. The bus was heading to the capital city Kabul when it took a detour to avoid one roadside bomb but hit another in a desert area because the road had been closed by NATO troops in order to defuse a bomb. Deputy Police Chief, Ensafi confirmed that the bus was coming from Helmand province and struck a landmine killing at least seven people and injuring 17 others. The condition of five out of the wounded was said to be critical.
