President Rouhani’s proposed oil minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh goes to the parliament today to elaborate on his programs for running Iran's oil industry to convince the legislature to give him a vote of confidence. President Rouhani nominated the members of his cabinet last Sunday immediately after taking his oath of office in the parliament as Iran's new president. Rouhani has nominated Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, a former oil minister during the 8 years of president Khatami’s ruling to 2005, as his choice for the oil ministry's top post. Meanwhile, head of renewable energies committee at the parliament Jalil Jafari Beneh told Shana last week that Zanganeh is a competent person for the post. He added constructive record of Zanganeh is a good criterion for judging his capabilities for administrating the oil industry "so I strongly believe he is competent for taking the helm of the oil ministry". "Zanganeh is creative enough to put behind the sanctions era," the lawmaker said, and added, "In my view talented persons are able to adapt themselves with special conditions so his intellectuals will help him to allay the restrictions Iran’s oil industry faces and accelerate the oil industry move towards development." He advised Zanganeh to take advantage of outgoing oil minister Rostam Qassemi's experiences. The Parliament's energy commission has examined the proposed programs of Mr. Zanganeh
