Russia condemns attacks in S. Israel

Russia on Friday condemned "the terrorist attacks" in southern Israel. In a statement released by Russian Foreign Ministry, Moscow denounced the recent attacks, and stressed that such acts "could never be justified," regardless of their aim or identity of the party behind them. Russia expressed condolences to Israel for the loss of lives and injured, the statement added. The border attacks resulted in the death of an Israeli child and at least seven other Israelis. Moscow also called for restraint and abstention from moves that would heighten tension in the region.
