Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the attack which led to the death of the US ambassador to Libya and three officials earlier this week . "The only possible attitude to this is that we condemn this crime and express condolences to the bereaved families," Russia's news agency (Itar-Tass) quoted Putin as saying. "Killing a human is a horrible crime, and in this case it was the killing of diplomats, of people protected by international conventions, whose life and health are protected by international law," he added. The US consulate attack was triggered by protests against a film being produced in the US and deemed disrespectful to Prophet Mohammad-peace be Upon him.
