Russia has strongly condemned a series of coordinated terrorist assaults in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula that killed a number of army personnel yesterday.
Russia stands firm with the Egyptian leadership in its efforts in entrenching stability in the country, according to a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
The statement further pointed out to the procedures taken by the Egyptian authorities to secure foreign tourists and resorts.
It also urged Russian tourists to exercise extreme caution and not to leave tourist resorts.
Daesh-affiliated groups on Wednesday launched a wave of unprecedented attacks on several military checkpoints in North Sinai, which the army said left 17 soldiers dead.
