Russia delivers the Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile systems to Iraq without delay, the press service of High-Precision Systems company told TASS on Friday.
"The delivery of [surface-to-air missile] systems to Iraq is carried out in accordance with the contract signed between Rosoboronexport [Russia’s sole official weapons exporter] and Iraq’s Defense Ministry," the press service said.
Last year, director of Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Alexander Fomin disproved reports in the media that Iraq planned to sever its $4 billion contact with Russia on delivery of 48 Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air systems and 36 Mi-28NE military helicopters.
