Russia’s Foreign Ministry hopes Mali’s presidential run-off will be in a quiet atmosphere and in compliance with the local legislation. “Moscow is watching closely the election process in the friendly Republic of Mali and hopes the run-off will be well-organised, in a quiet atmosphere and in compliance with the country’s legislation,” the ministry said. The foreign ministry hopes “the soon finalisation of the election will become a reconstruction of Mali’s constitutional order and will let the candidate who wins the opportunity to continue the big work on development of the country on the basis of and inclusive dialogue and national reconciliation.
