Russia: New UNSC Syria draft resolution ‘more balanced’

A new US-proposed UN Security Council draft resolution on Syria “should be substantially balanced,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov has said. The draft is “a slightly modified version of the last vetoed document,” Gatilov said on his Twitter page. The US recently submitted a new draft resolution on Syria to the UN Security Council. Russia and China earlier twice vetoed documents proposed by Western and Arab states.
