Traditional cooperation between Russia and Jordan remains a major factor of stability in the Middle East, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated on Monday. This statement was made in connection with an exchange of telegrams between foreign ministers of Russia and Jordan that congratulated each other with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The foreign ministers, Sergei Lavrov and Nasser Judeh, highly praised bilateral cooperation and a trust-based political dialogue, stressing the importance of further strengthening the whole range of relations. “Moscow proceeds from the fact that in a difficult situation in the region at the moment, traditional cooperation between our countries remains a major factor of stability and meets the tasks of ensuring peace and security in the Middle East,” the Foreign Ministry stressed.
