Russia-Ukraine deal doesn't address concerns of Ukrainian demonstrators

The White House said Tuesday that any agreements between Ukraine and Russia will not address the concerns of protestors in Ukraine. Russia reached a deal with Ukraine on a USD 15 billion bailout to buy Ukrainian euro bonds and cut natural gas prices. White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters "any agreements concluded between Kiev and Moscow will not address the concerns of those who have gathered in public protest across Ukraine." He added, "we urge the Ukrainian government to listen to its people and to find a way to restore a path to the peaceful, just, democratic and economically prosperous European future to which Ukrainian citizens aspire." Carney also urged the Ukrainian government "to enter into immediate dialogue with the opposition and all other stakeholders who have expressed their desire for a better Ukraine through public demonstrations." He reiterated that the details of the agreements that have been reported will be reviewed as they become available, but that "they don't address the concerns that peaceful demonstrators have expressed in Ukraine
