US President Barack Obama announced that Russia and the United States will keep on working together through Russia's missile defence system's issue regardless any existing disagreements. "We discussed a range of strategic issues, including missile defense, and resolved to continue to work through some of the difficult problems involved there." Obama said following a meeting with Russia's president Vladimir Putin here Monday evening. Obama said Russia and the United States have made significant progress over the course of the last years pertaining to a range of bilateral issues. "We agreed that we need to build on these successes, even as we recognize that there are going to be areas of disagreement," he added. "Despite differences in assessments, we have agreed to continue a joint search for solutions to challenges in the field of missile defense," a joint statement by Obama and Putin said. Both sides agreed as well to implement a range of bilateral agreements and sustain strategic stability dialogues.
