
A Russian army commander revealed that his country supplied the Syrian army with modern weapons and equipment, including artillery systems, communications equipment, intelligence.
Russian military advisors trained the Syrian army and the Kurdish troops in the war-weary country, The commander of the Russian grouping in Syria, Colonel-General Aleksandr Dvornikov in an interview to Russia Today.
“This joint work has allowed to destroy infrastructure and lines of supply of terrorists, to seize the initiative and move to offensive actions. And they were conducted simultaneously in 15 directions. This forced the militants to abandon major offensive operations and to take action in small groups,”said Alexander Dvornikov.
The Foundation of success he called the coordinated work of Russian aviation and units of government forces.
In addition, Syrian troops and Patriotic forces were supplied with modern armaments and military hardware and artillery systems, communications equipment, intelligence.
