Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev is set to travel to Tehran tomorrow, Sunday, for a visit to Iran ,at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar. During the visit, the first visit by a Russian interior minister since Iran's 1979 revolution, Kolokoltsev is heading a high-level delegation . Talks between the two officials will tackle issues of mutual concern, particularly in the fields of enhancing and developing cooperation, following up on the implementation of bilateral security and border agreements, cooperation between Iranian and Russian provinces, Alalam TV channel reported, noting that they will also review regional issues. Kolokoltsev's visit aims to develop cooperation ties between security forces in trainings and operations, according to the channel.
