
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov conferred with his visiting Palestinian opposite number Riyad al Maliki on the future of resuming Palestinian-Israeli talks.
The meeting took up the latest developments in Palestine, according to a statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The Russian FM expressed his concern over peaceful settlement process in Palestine, asserting the importance to resume Palestinian-Israeli talks as soon as possible, the statement said.
The delegation accompanying Maliki includes Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation Iyad al Madani, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, the Guinean foreign minister and an envoy of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The delegation will also visit China.
