Relations between Russia and the United states should be developed rather than being reconstructed, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has said. Medvedev in an interview with Finnish media ahead of his visit to Finland Wednesday said that Russia doesn’t need to “reset everything and press the Reset or Reload buttons, but to develop ties.” He said that re-elected US president Barack Obama “is a person whom we can deal with, he listens to arguments, can communicate and make decisions,” Russian news agency (RIA Novosti) quoted Medvedev as saying . “I am thankful to him ,Obama, for the years when we worked together. I hope that during his next term he will stick to the same approaches,” he added. Medvedev said however, that the US-Russian Relations still have the European missile defense system problem pending. The United States wants to place a missile defense system near Eastern Europe to protect itself while Russia disapproves the idea saying its own ballistic missiles would also be covered by the US shield, disrupting the nuclear parity between the countries.
