Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to Jordan on June 15th to hold talks with King Abdullah II of Jordan on ways of boosting bilateral relations, latest regional developments and the peace process. During the visit, the Russian President will open the guest house for Russian Christian pilgrims in the Baptism Site on the east bank of the Jordan River, for which the Jordanian monarch had order to allocate a 10.000 sq meter plot. At a cost of about $40 million, the building includes 50 double room cabin in addition to restaurants, reception halls and yards on the eastern bank of the River Jordan. The religious project aims to increase the Russian visitor numbers to Jordan. Religious trips will be organized through the Russian Church in Moscow to visit the religious and tourist sites in Jordan.
