
The President of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit will pay late this month a visit to Khartoum to hold talks with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir. This was stated by the spokesman of South Sudan's foreign ministry who said that South Sudan President will discuss ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries. In a press statement released here today, the spokesman said South Sudan's Foreign Minister Barnabas Benjamin will visit Khartoum soon to arrange with the Sudanese Foreign Minister the agenda of the visit and to set a date for Al-Bashir-Slava summit. During the visit the South Sudanese President will also discuss ways to resolve all outstanding issues of contention between the two countries, foremost of which being the Abyei issue and mechanisms for resolving differences over the disputed border areas in addition to the issues of oil, citizenship, security and issues of common concern.
