Saudi crown prince arrives in Pakistan

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud arrived in Pakistan on Saturday on a three-day visit to further enhance and strengthen brotherly relations between the two countries, said an official press release.Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif warmly received the visiting dignitary at the Noor Khan airbase in capital city Islamabad.Prince Salman bin Abdulazziz Al-Saud inspected the guard of honor and national anthems of both countries were played. The Crown Prince is also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense of Saudi Arabia and is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Pakistani premier.The Saudi Crown Prince's visit is of special significance since it would be his first visit to Pakistan after assuming this position. During the visit, he would hold talks with the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on bilateral and international matters of mutual interest.Earlier, the Foreign Office spokesperson, Tasnim Aslam said that this visit will give a new impetus to the existing fraternal bonds between the two countries and it would provide a good opportunity to explore ways and means for further strengthening cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest particularly in expanding and enhancing investments and trade.
