The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that one of the security patrols came under heavy fire from four armed rioters riding motorcyclists at one of the intersections on Ohod Street in Qatif province last night. "At eleven o'clock on the evening of Friday, one of the security patrols came under heavy fire from four armed rioters riding motorcyclists while stopping at one of the intersections on Ohod Street in Qatif province, resulting in the martyrdom of soldier Hosein Ali Zabani and the wounding of soldier Saad Miteb Mohammad Al Shammari who was taken to hospital for treatment," the Saudi Interior ministry said in a statement, reported by Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Ministry spokesman Major General Alturki said that the security patrols rushed to the scene and chased a number of armed rioters riding motorcyclists and exchanged fire with them and arrested four of them. Alturki added that one of them was wounded and died while being taken to hospital. The security agencies received a communication from Qatif Central hospital on the arrival of a person with bullet wound. He turned out to be one of armed rioters involved in the shooting on the security men, Major General Alturki said. The incident is still under security follow-up, Major General Alturki added.
