
Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) and the political parties approved in a joint meeting on Monday conditions and criteria to select the original and supervisory committees for the next phase. They also agreed to hold a joint meeting between the Commission and representatives of the parties on Tuesday to continue to discuss and approve the mechanism to form the original and supervisory committees. In the meeting, the SCER and the parties’ representatives approved the tasks of the mini-committee formed from the political parties and organizations and the commission, which aims to activate the communication and build the consensus between the political parties and the SCER to ensure a proper voter registration and free, transparent and fair elections. At the beginning of the meeting, President of the SECR ,Judge Mohamed al-Hakimi, and his deputy , Judge Khamis al-Dini, confirmed the Commission’s keenness on the participation of all political parties and organizations in the implementation of the electronic voter registration and the whole electoral process.
