
Scores of Jewish extremists on Thrusday stormed the Al Aqsa Mosque yards away from the Al-Magarbah Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City, for the second time in 24 hours ,even as Israeli soldiers provided strict security cover . Eyewitnesses said about 134 israeli extremists stormed Al Aqsa mosque at Al-Magarbah Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City trying to perform their jewish rites at a time the muslim worshippers encountered them and shouted alluh akbar several times , the matter which led to clashes between them at al-silsila gate and then the israeli police intervned and get the israeli extremists out of the mosque. Jerusalem Awqaf (Religious Endowment) Director General, Sheikh Azzam Al Khatib said in a statement issued in Ramallah earlier Wednesday that the Awaqf called on the Israeli police to stop “external tourism program” at least during the holy month of Ramadan, but the police rejected the demand. Eyewitnesses said that the settlers stormed the compound in groups accompanied by four rabbis, adding that a number of the extremists tried to change their tour program in Al Aqsa in order to access the Dome of the Rocks roof, but worshippers prevented them from doing so. In a related developmebt in Hebron, Israelis from the settlement of Susiya, south of Hebron stole rich soil from Palestinian land and took it to their settlement, a local activist said Wednesday. Rateb Jbour, from the Committee against the Wall and Settlements, told Palestinian News Agency WAFA that the settlers razed a large area of privately owned agricultural land near the settlement and stole the fertile soil. He said this act has destroyed the farm land. While in Nablus, landowners in the Nablus area village of Awarta reported that a massacre has been committed against their olive trees, a local activist said Thursday. Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settler activities in the Nablus area, said owners of olive tree fields in Awarta, east of Nablus, discovered when they reached their land Thursday morning that Israeli settlers from nearby Itamar have cut down 1150 fully grown and years old trees. He told ( WAFA ) News Agency that the Israeli army allowed some landowners to reach their land near the settlement and that they were shocked from the horror of what they saw: All the trees were cut from the bottom of the stem, they reported.
