Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on Sunday urged the Labour Party electorate in Scotland to vote for the Scottish National Party (SNP) in the next UK general elections, slated for May.
The first minister, who is also the SNP leader, pledged that her party would work to end the austerity measures, promote minimum wages and put an end to "zero hours", under which the employer is not obliged to provide the worker with any minimum working hours, and the worker is not obliged to accept any of the hours offered.
The first minister said that the SNP was the only party that stands firmly against the austerity program of the Conservative Party.
