
Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council(GCC),Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, has called on the UN Security Council to support the Yemeni government’s efforts in order to achieve the desired national reforms. In the meeting of the UN Security Council held on Thursday and devoted to discuss Yemen’s file, Dr. al-Zayani demanded the support for the efforts being made in order to implement the political and economic reforms and to continue the national dialogue. Al-Zayani affirmed that the wise decisions taken by President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi have brought Yemen out of its crisis, voicing the GCC’s confidence in Yemen’s ability to pass this crucial juncture of his history. “ The GCC will continue to work with the Group of Friends of Yemen and the donor countries to meet the needs of Yemeni people”, Dr. al-Zayani said.
