
Senegalese President Macky Sall left the capital Dakar on Thursday to go to London, where he will take part in the G8 summit in the capacity of the president of the New Economic Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) and the spokesman for the African continent, the presidential press service said. On his way to London, Sall will make a stop-over in Libreville at the invitation of his Gabonese counterpart Ali Bongo in preparations for the New York-Africa Development Forum, the statement added. During his stay in London, the Senegalese president will also attend a Forum on Africa's growth sponsored by the host country, before presiding over the Senegal Economic Forum to be organized by the British Embassy in Senegal and the Senegalese Embassy in Britain.
