Seoul to cut embassy staff in conflict-hit Yemen

South Korea has decided to reduce the number of its embassy staff in Yemen due to security concerns following a militant group's takeover of the government, officials said Tuesday, according to Yonhap News Agency.
Seoul's foreign ministry said it will cut the number of South Korean diplomats at its embassy in Yemen while carefully considering a full-out evacuation if situations worsen.
"The government plans to decide on whether to further cut the number of diplomatic staff or to fully pull out of the country by taking into account evolving political situations there," an official said, asking not to be named.
As security concerns are growing, countries that include the United States, Britain, Germany, France and Japan have temporarily closed their embassies in Yemen.
The Seoul government has recommended about 40 nationals staying in Yemen to withdraw from the country.
