Serbian PM attacked at Srebrenica ceremony

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic was attacked on Saturday by several people with stones and bottles at Srebrenica, where he laid flowers and paid tribute to the victims of the Srebrenica massacre.

Vucic, who was forced to leave the scene, said in Belgrade he was OK.

The Serbian prime minister expressed his regret that some people did not recognized his sincere intentions, adding he will continue to work to build friendship between Serbians and Bosniaks.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) issued a statement to express "deepest regret".

Mayor of Srebrenica Camil Durakovic condemned the attack, saying he was very disappointed with the incident.

Saturday marked the 20th anniversary of Srebrenica massacre, in which some 8,000 Muslim men and boys were killed by Bosnian Serb forces in 1995.

Dozens of foreign dignitaries were also present at the ceremony, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton.
