On Thursday 28th March, Jewish settlers laid foundations for new caravans on private-owned Palestinian land east of the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, for the expansion of the illegal Israeli settlement of Ovijal, built on the town's land, according to a local source. Ratib Jabour, coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in southern Hebron, said that settlers laid foundations for new caravans on land belonging to the families of Jabareen and Mohammad. He said that scuffles erupted between the settlers and the landowners who tried to prevent them from taking over their land which they have all documents proving their ownership of the land.
