Settlers raided a Hebron village overnight Monday, local witnesses told Ma'an. Israeli forces surrounded the village of Hahul as settlers left the area. No injuries were reported. Seven cars with Israeli number plates entered the village before being escorted out by military jeeps, locals said. Hebron is split into Palestinian Authority and Israeli military controlled zones. Around 800 Jewish settlers live among 30,000 Palestinians in the parts of the ancient city that are under Israeli control, including Tel Rumeida. Settler attacks in the West Bank against Palestinians increased by more than 50 percent in 2011, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
