Iran would down other US spy planes if that country continues violation of Islamic Republic's airspace, a top Iranian military figure announced on Friday. On capture of the US RQ-170 Sentinel drone, which is among the most sophisticated unmanned aircraft made by this country, Vice Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the director of the Iranian Armed Forces' Center for Strategic underlined that such action is indicating the highest capabilities of Iranian experts. He said Islamic Republic of Iran would never concede in safeguarding its airspace. Shamkhani stressed that the US should respond the international rules if violation of Iran airspace continues. The US spy drone was downed with minimum damage on December 4 in Iranian territory. The length of the captured US drone’s wings are about 26 meters, the length of the drone’s fuselage is 4.5 meters and its height is 1.84 meters. The captured US drone has state-of-the-art information system comprising electronic, telecommunications, and advanced radar systems. The US spy aircraft is radar-evading and it utilizes the latest US aviation technology.
