Sharjah ruler receives director-general of ALECSO

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, today received Dr. Abdullah Hamed Muhareb, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation (ALECSO), in his office at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). During the meeting, Sheikh Sultan welcomed the guest and exchanged views on the activities and programmes of the organisation and its efforts in servicing Arab education, culture and science. Sheikh Sultan was briefed, by Dr. Abdullah, on several projects that the organisation intends to do in the coming period. He offered to establish a cultural television channel to be under the supervision of the organisation, and serve all cultural sectors in the Arab world. Dr. Abdullah presented a collection of books as a gift to Dr. Sheikh Sultan.
