
The activities of the Sharm el Sheikh "investment forum in Africa" will kick off on Saturday in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and a number of African heads of state, investors and businessmen.
According to the forum website, Sisi will address the two-day gathering and will meet African Development Bank President Akinwumi Adesina and senior figures participating in the forum.
Attending the inaugural session will be the presidents of Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, Sudan and Togo along with the prime minister of Ethiopia.
The conference which will be held under the auspices of President Sisi will discuss efforts to turn Africa into a hub for information technology and communications, in addition to efforts to increase agricultural and energy production.
