Shooting renews between Tebaneh and Jabal Mohsen northern Lebanon

Tension prevailed over again today between Tebaneh and Jabal Mohsen in the Lebanon northern city of Tripoli. According to the state-run National News Agency (NNA), the gunshots prompted schools to suspend classes for the day, fearing any escalations. Media reports said that the Lebanese army began removing the barricades and sandbags from the rival neighborhoods. Calm was shortly restored in the city. Tensions have been aggravated between the two neighborhoods by the conflict in Syria. Tripoli was struck by a deadly double car bombing in August that killed 45 people.
