Shoukry, Polish counterpart probe cooperation in combating militants

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a meeting Wednesday in Warsaw with his Polish counterpart Grzegorz Schetyna.

The meeting took up means of promoting bilateral relations in the political, economic, commercial and tourist fields in line with the historic ties between the two countries, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Atti.

They also discussed joint cooperation in the filed of civilizations' dialogue and the role played by the two nations in promoting the values of tolerance.

The two sides probed also the Palestinian cause, the Iranian nuclear file, the latest developments in Yemen, Libya, Iraq as well as the Syrian crisis.

In a press conference held after the get-together, Shoukry underscored the importance of the deeply-rooted ties between the two countries.
