The tripartite meeting with the Algerian and Italian foreign ministers showed a unified vision towards the Libyan crisis, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said on Sunday.
Shoukry made the statement during a press conference after a meeting with his Italian and Algerian counterparts Paolo Gentiloni and Abdel Qadir Mesahel.
Shoukry said both Egypt and Algeria are facing major challenges due to their proximity of the Libyan territories. He appreciated the UN's bids to solve the Libyan crisis.
He further urged the Libyan government and army to provide the Libyan people with security.
Shoukry called on the international community to play a more significant role to put an end to the conflict in Libya.
