Shoukry probes with New Zealand FM bilateral ties, regional issues

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Monday with New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully who arrived in Cairo Monday on a visit to Egypt.

The two sides held an official session of talks on bilateral relations especially in the field of trade and consultations between the two sides at international forums taking into consideration Egypt's nomination for Egypt's non-permanent membership at the Security Council 2016-2017.

Shoukry stressed the importance cooperation between the two countries in the tourism domain and removal of all obstacles hindering tourist inflows from New Zealand, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Ati.

According to the spokesman, the two ministers discussed conditions in Libya, Yemen, Syria, Iran's nuclear file and the Palestinian cause as well as efforts to reconstruct Gaza Strip.

For his part, the New Zealand official expressed happiness over visiting Egypt and meeting President Abdel Fattah El Sis.
