Shourky praises ICC's decision to reject Muslim Brotherhood request

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Saturday with Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Fatou Bensouda on the fringe of his participation in Munich Security Conference.
During the meeting, Shoukry expressed Cairo's appreciation for ICC and its application of the transparency principle, praising the ICC decision to reject a request of the banned Muslim Brotherhood group which aim at undermining the efforts exerted by the Egyptian state to restore stability and complete the roadmap plan.
Meanwhile, ICC Prosecutor praised the cooperation and facilitation offered by the Egyptian government, especially as regards the trials into the crimes committed in Libya, and in view of the deteriorating security situation in Libya.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Badr Abdel Aatti said Shourky discussed with Bensouda the court's jurisprudence in the terror crimes which are currently carried out in several world countries.
