President of Al Azhar University Ibrahim el Hodhod has affirmed Al Azhar is teaching its students moderate teachings that combine balanced sciences.
Hodhod called for backing Al Azhar institution in efforts it exerts to combat terrorism.
Supporting Al Azhar serves the interests of the whole world, he said during talks on Saturday with a delegation representing politicians and EU and government agencies.
Since its establishment, Al Azhar did not graduate one terrorist, Hodhod said, adding that terrorists, who belong to Islam, did not study at it, but they received learning in other schools.
As many as 400,00 students study at Al Azhar University, which is considered one of the oldest universities worldwide, according to Hodhod.
