Future parliamentary bloc leader MP Fouad Siniora called Sunday for the resignation of the current government and called for the establishment of a “neutral salvation cabinet.” “No to a government that covers crimes: yes to a neutral salvation government ... a government that protects all Lebanese and shifts them to a new phase,” Siniora told thousands in Beirut at the funeral of Brig. Gen. Wissam al-Hasan. He also rejected outright dialogue so long as the present government remained. "No talks before the departure of this government, no dialogue on the blood of the martyr's," the opposition leader said. He also accused the government of being responsible for the killing of Hasan, who headed the police’s Information Branch since its inception in 2006. "The government is responsible for the crime of the assassination of Hasan," he said. Addressing Mikati, Siniora said: “Your continuation in the government means you agree to the crime.” From DailyStar
